Image & Beautification Board

The Image and Beautification Board consists of volunteer residents who assist in enhancing the image and beauty of our City. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month.  The board plans and discusses upcoming events, upkeep of community gardens and ideas to improve the appearance our beautiful city. Twice a year, with a combined effort of fellow citizens, elected officials and young adults from the Department of Social Services, Youth Division, we gather to pick up litter along our main thoroughfares.

The I&B board maintains several flowerbeds throughout the city. During the spring we plant and begin maintenance on the flower beds. In the Summer we select homes throughout the city to receive Beautification Awards for the upkeep and decoration of the homes.  At Christmas time we again recognize these efforts with the Christmas Decoration Awards.

Currently, and always, we are looking for additional residents to serve on the board and join our Community Garden Club. If you are a resident of Bellefontaine Neighbors and interested in volunteering, we welcome you.  Please call City Hall at 867-0076.
