The Youth Commission is comprised of nine (9) regular voting members, each of whom shall be appointed to the commission by the Mayor with the apporval of the Board of Alderman.

The activities of the Youth Commission shall be primarily concerned with the promotion of the general welfare of youths an dyoung adults. The Youth Commission also plan annual events including the Youth Deck Dance, and Bike Rodeo.
