The Bellefontaine Neighbors Police Department takes an active role in meeting public expectations through continuous assessment and analysis of laws, trends, and policing practices that bring value and benefit to our community. Some of our initiatives involve unifying our policing efforts across the St. Louis area to bring about change and consistency that best serves the policing industry and our communities. Part of this process involves introducing proposed state legislation that will bring about necessary policing improvement statewide. Through the unanimous membership vote of the St. Louis Area Police Chiefs Association, House Bill No. 216 was introduced on December 1, 2020.
