Disaster Assistance

Disaster assistance is money or direct assistance to individuals, families and businesses in an area whose property has been damaged or destroyed and whose losses are not covered by insurance. It is meant to help you with critical expenses that cannot be covered in other ways. This assistance is not intended to restore your damaged property to its condition before the disaster.

Homeowners, renters, and business owners affected by the servere storms and floods of March 17, 2008 and continueing can apply before the May 27, 2008 deadline. To apply or get more information, call 1-800-621-3362 or visit FEMA's website.

Protect You and Your Home

Our city has a wonderful Neighborhood Watch program lead by Cpl. Peggy Vassallo. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM in the Chambers of City Hall. As residents, we have to protect our community and assist our Police Department in keeping it safe.

Spring 2008 Household Chemical Collection

Improper disposal of leftover household chemicals can be harmful to the environment and to public health. St. Louis County is holding their annual Chemical Collection Event. This event is FREE to all St. Louis County residents.

A Little History

Urban settlement has caused the discovery of the North American continent and the exploration of its various areas. Many important events have taken place that eventually had their effects on what is now the City of Bellefontaine Neighbors. This urban settlement was established in North St. Louis County in the mid 1800s.
