News HeadlinesNATIONAL NIGHT OUTOn August 4th, everyone is encouraged to get together with your neighbors and host block or neighborhood parties, BBQs or other activities. This is a great way to show that residents, police and fire personnel are working together to keep Bellefontaine Neighbors a clean, peaceful and safe place to live. If you are interested, please call Cpl. Vassallo at 867-0080 ext. 242 Events for the Month of JulyJuly 3 - City Hall will be closed in observance of Independence Day. July 10 - Family Miniature Golf Night from 6:30-8:30; $1 admission per person includes golf, hotdog and soda. Prizes for kids under 16 years of age. BRING THE WHOLE FAMILY. July 11 - The Adult Deck Dance will be held from 6:30-midnight. Tickets are $22.50/person which includes live music, buffet dinner, open bar and the use of the pool. Tickets need to be purchased in advance. Minimum age is 21. Call 867-0700 for ticket information. July 17 - Adult Mini Golf Night. The snack bar will be open and beer will be sold, so leave your cooler and kids at home. Regular golf fees apply. For more information on Adult Activities & Events, such as trips to the Underground Railroad, Memphis, Tunica and other Casino Trips, call the Rec Center at 867-0700. CERT TrainingCERT (Community Emergency Response Team) is a program for citizens to become active in assisting in our communities in a time of an emergency or disaster. CERT classes are taught by 1st responders throughout north St. Louis County. The Riverview Fire Dept. will hold classes at the Bellefontaine Rec Center on Oct. 10-12. Neighborhood WatchIf you would like to get more involved in your community, attend a Neighborhood Watch Meeting on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. at City Hall. July 1st speaker will be Mary Helwig. She will talk about a program regarding resolving problems/issues in the neighborhood without law enforcement action.
