News Headlines

City Updates

As most of you know, there has been a lot of work on the City streets due to the passage of Proposition S. We thank everyone for your patience during this time. This will be a 5-year project, so there will be more streets done during this time.

Thursday, August 5th, representatives will attend the Board of Aldermen meeting to discuss the Habilitation Center Project.

The Shepley Bridge Project will begin August 16th.  Pleaes be aware of detours.

Upcoming Events

Saturday, August 7 - Youth Swim Party.  For $5 a person, you can enjoy music, swimming, hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, soda and attendance prizes.  Tickets need to be pruchased in advance at the Rec Center; July 1-August 6th.  Residents can bring one guest.

The Rec Center is hosting Day Camps for kids and teens, Youth Pool Parties, Miniature Golf packages, Holiday Nights and much more.

Adult activitied include a Branson trip, Fairmount Park, BUNCO, Casino trips and a tour of the Missouri State Penitentiary and the Supreme Court building.

Utility Help

If you need help with utility bills, location of a food pantry, help with a child who has a learning disability, transportation, help with daycare, need temporary shelter or are in an abusive home, please contact the United Way and Missouri Foundation for Health to get pointed in the right direction. They can be reached at 421-4636

Homeless Prevention & RAPID RE-HOUSING PROGRAM GRANT - St. Louis County has received funds to help people 60 and older who live in St. Louis County to stabilize their housing situation or re-house those who have lost their housing. Attached is more information or you can call 615-4516.

Neighborhood Watch

If you would like to get more involved in your community, attend a Neighborhood Watch Meeting on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

 

Aug 3 - Neighborhood Night Out - neighbors are encouraged to meet their neighbors by having BBQs, lawn parties and the such. Call 867-0080 to let us know if you will be hosting an event so City officials can stop by and say hello.
